Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (BABA) and Suning Commerce Group Partners for an E-Commerce Venture

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), China’s e-commerce giant is planning to collaborate with the local retail giant Suning Commerce Group Co, to set-up an e-commerce firm in China’s southwestern city of Chongqing, which will play a vital role in strengthening Alibaba’s position against other local and international e-commerce entities operating in the mainland region.

According to China Daily both the companies will make a joint investment of about $148 million (1 billion yuan). In a statement issued by Suning, “Alibaba will pay 490 million yuan, owning a 49 percent stake, while Suning will invest 510 million yuan, gaining a 51 percent stake in the new joint venture.”
Suning is one of the largest privately owned retailer in China and working together with China’s biggest e-commerce firm will give it a smooth pathway into the e-commerce business.  Suning senior representative quite pleased with the deal said, “The business scope of the new e-commerce firm covers services, wholesale and retail, and technological development and consulting.”
Also, the joint venture will be looking after stores opened by Suning on Alibaba’s leading online platforms. It will also work on expanding business based on “customer-to-business model,” which will help in enhancing brand’s services and will allow it to act quickly on users’ requests. The statement released by Suning also indicated that the joint venture will also “innovate the online-to-offline operating model to improve the service quality for small-and medium-retailers 
Previously, Alibaba’s biggest e-commerce store Taobao has already made an investment in Suning. Back in June 2015, it bought 1.81 billion shares in the local retailer costing 28.2 billion yuan. The investment gave it about 20% stake in the company.
in the past few years’ e-commerce business has shown tremendous growth and Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba along with leading industry experts believes it to be the next big thing. The Chinese e-commerce giant has already made a name for itself and by entering such ventures it is helping other businesses to transform into the digital era. Several industry experts opine that the new venture will prove to be a good collaboration as it will “combine Alibaba's online retailing assets with Suning's physical stores and distribution facilities which will make buying consumer electronics and home appliances easier for consumers.”

Also, it will allow Alibaba to establish a dominant position against its rivals including JD.com ([url=http://www.smartstocknews.com/ticker/ JD/]NASDAQ: JD[/url]), China’s second largest e-commerce firm.

Navodno æe Taobao.com i Inter potpisali ili su sa suningom u dogovoru.
Inaèe Taobao je dio Alibaba grupe koja je najveæi prodavaè na svijetu, ove godine su prestigli èak i Walmart.

Drugi sponzor bi trebao biti changhong. Drugi najveæi proizvoðaè televizora u kini.
